Owned by Australian and New Zealand families, we proudly lead the market in the supply of handmade premium quality European coffee and slush machines, and associated products. Having installed over 27,000 coffee and 7,000 slush systems into the marketplace, our focus is to be all things coffee, and then some.

2001

Espresso Essential Coffee Launched

Espresso Essential coffee system launched by Australian and New Zealand founders

2010-2012

BRW Fast 100 Awards

Espresso Essential recognised in the BRW Fastest Growing Franchise — “BRW Fast 100 Awards” for the third, fourth and fifth years consecutively.

2003

Espresso Essential Franchised Australia

International distribution of Espresso Essential coffee commenced in New Zealand and the United Kingdom.

2005-2006

Essential Slush Launched

Espresso Essential becomes one of Australia and New Zealand’s largest coffee machine and consumable distributors.

2014

Builds state of the art air Roaster with larger capacity to roast premium coffee blends for distribution nationally and internationally.

2017

Acquires Espresso Essential Western Australia, Essential Brands Group Townsville and the South Coast New South Wales business Coffee in Moments and supports their customers directly

International Network Conference held in Singapore to drive export opportunities.

Invests in growth and expansion of Essential Coffee New Zealand.

2015

Implements new systems to enhance customer management and provide excellence in customer service

2016

The group is acquired by a private consortium headed by its CEO and a new executive team. The business is renamed Essential Coffee Group with banner brand Essential Coffee

Acquires Essential Brands Victoria and Advanced Coffee Solutions New South Wales. The South Australian Master Franchise agreement is terminated and Essential Coffee works directly with its locally based South Australian distributors and customers

Expands into the Middle East

2013

Espresso Essential three main beverage lines of Automatic Coffee, Barista Coffee and Slush relaunched as the “I Luv…” range

Expands with full Barista range from French supplier Reneka

Expands into Philippines and Papua New Guinea

2009

I Luv Coffee barista systems launched.
